There are basically 3 types of interviews that one can expect
During the blind interview, the interviewer has no idea about the candidate, as he or she has not gone through the application.
So, you are required to be honest, and speak as per the facts mentioned in your application essays, because when the essays will be verified, any deviation of answers, will lead to rejection.
During this interview, the interviewer has already read your application, and he or she has a brief idea about you.
So, you must use this opportunity, to discuss the weaknesses in your application, career gaps, termination etc.
During this interview, the admission officers may or may not read your application, but they will look into your past behavior, and determine your future behavior.
This interview, often revolves around your own story. So, prepare yourself well.
The Place of the Interview.
The interviews are generally conducted on-campus, and off- campus. Interviews are conducted in the campus. However, most international MBA schools have their own hubs, where they conduct the interview. These hubs are present outside their own campus
Now coming to the all-important question,
Who’s the BOSS? Who takes the Decisive Interview?
The Admission officers, who are the primary decision makers, often conduct the interviews. The students, or, the seniors of the business schools, can also take your interview. The alumni, are the former students, who are invited by the MBA schools, to conduct the interview. They are very experienced, and successful products of the school.
They know a lot, about the admission process, the culture, and requirements of the business school, because the alumni have gone through the same process.
