MIT Essay Explanation

Stay keen on the essays you have used to avoid repeating compelling stories that have already been mentioned in the optional essay. Be optimistic and apply positivity while visualizing yourself as already accepted to the interview. Do not go through the prompt and focus on your capabilities at the present; rather, focus on the future. In addition, do not look at yourself presently and question whether you may improve the world, as the committee is asking you to draw on experiences showing your support for the mission of moving into the future. Reflect on the first section of the prompt and internalize each detail using examples of your application of principled and innovative leadership. Brainstorm through what you would like to say before deciding the best approach for conveying the message to the committee. Next, decide the approach that best fits your personality and message.

Although the question looks broad, it gives you the opportunity of drawing experiences from the professional, community, and personal sphere. Any of the areas is a valid step towards offering a narrative, which will give readers the opportunity to visualize on your actions as well as motivations. The committee intends to learn about you through the stories you tell rather than hearing platitudes about management. While sharing your story, connect it to the mission of the school, and link the stories to the mission statement of the school. Before beginning the essay, gloss over experiences directly related to your mission. Give the committee a satisfactory answer that allows the committee to understand a lot about you.
